Payments

What payments are due at my appointment?

Required copayments must be paid at every visit, while any outstanding account balances from deductibles or coinsurance should be settled as soon as they are incurred.

Ideal Option prioritizes immediate, continuous treatment access while ensuring financial transparency. To prevent unexpected account balances:

  • Copays: Collected at the front desk during check-in for each visit.
  • Deductibles & Coinsurance: Billed after insurance processing; prompt payment helps avoid account holds.

Yes. Uninsured patients or those with out-of-network insurance can enroll in the Ideal Option Self-Pay Subscription Program.

Lack of insurance does not restrict care access. The subscription program offers a structured, predictable out-of-pocket rate for outpatient addiction treatment, including clinical evaluations, provider visits, and routine lab monitoring.

Evidence & Authoritative Reference: The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) highlights that financial barriers, including fear of unmanageable healthcare costs, are a leading reason individuals delay substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. Offering transparent cash-pay and sliding-fee scale models is essential to expanding access to evidence-based care (SAMHSA Treatment Financing & Cost Resources).

You can pay your Ideal Option balance online through Healow Pay, by phone with a Patient Financial Advocate, or in person at any clinic front desk.

Evidence & Authoritative Reference: National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) research shows that long-term retention in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) significantly reduces overdose mortality, criminal justice involvement, and infectious disease transmission. Flexible payment programs directly support long-term treatment retention by mitigating financial stress (NIDA Treatment Retention & Effectiveness Findings).

Yes. Ideal Option accepts almost all health insurance plans, including state Medicaid, Medicare, and major commercial insurance policies. For a list of all the insurance providers we work with, please visit this page.

Outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders is recognized as an essential health benefit under federal law, meaning most insurance plans cover clinic visits, provider evaluations, lab testing, and prescribed addiction medications.
